I thought it so ironic that this is what my daughter looked like coming home from church today -that I had to take the photo! As we were leaving the building, both kids stopped to get their favorite dumdum suckers from the bishop's office. V picked blue. And then our friend, parked next to us, put the Maleficent horns on her head (- he said the movie was not appropriate for young children, byt he way, and really just an opp for the lead character to showcase herself - oh, and with a theme that evil isn't really evil which may not be a great message - albeit with gorgeous cinematography). So there you have it. Oh, and then that same friend, Scott, stopped by our house with a delicious package in hand: a decadent chunk of the birthday cake he made for his brother. We're talking a two day process to get the richest, darkest buttercream imagineable. (Defnitely not Angel Food! - if we're also still talking contrasts.) Oh, and to extend the theme, we compared our white, light, airy, make the galley style kitchen feel bigger plans with his Orient Express inspired design (we're both planning on kitchen remodels) which includes black cabinets, so thanks to S, our Sabbath was certainly a study in contrasts - with an incredibly delicious end to it!
