Yep, I'm in love with these two!  Thanks for giving me the gift of motherhood!

V orchestrated QUITE the Mother's Day extravaganza!  She was determined to leave church an hour early, but as she didn't get her way, she simply resorted to having someone else from church find a way to detain me and then bring me home separately, while J took the kids home.  As I was being detained, she set up a scavenger hunt for me to locate the gift (pictured above) which was a lovely book of self portraits she made over the past month or two at school.  Other Mother's Day activities included a "go fish" pond in the corner where I got to "dip" a small cardboard suitcase on a string into the "pond" behind the blanket three times to yield various prizes, including note cards, part of the geode she recently acquired from the zoo (oooh, still need to post about that), and other fun things.  She presented me with the finger print painted tiles she and T made a the village playdate sponsored by Paint the Town - and she presented them on the decorative pillow from her bed, like a ring-bearer would do.  Where she got that idea, who knows?  Perhaps my favorite part of the day was when she sang me all verses of "A La Claire Fontaine."  At least a year ago, after having learned the song at school, she asked me to make a video of her singing that she could post on YouTube.  We didn't post it (we've never posted anything on YouTube), and then a month or two later, I discovered that she intentionally erased it from her Surface deciding she didn't like it.  Argh!  J and I were both unhappy about that and she knows it.  So all this time later, after many times of refusing to sing it or claiming she had forgotten it, she gave it to me as a Mother's Day gift.  Priceless.

Lest I forget, here's the paper she asked me to fill out in the morning before church.  It evidently included all of the many wonders that were in store for me for the day.  Notice the "sculpture" (which she made from clay the day before - I had commissioned a pyramid) and even a "tidy house!"  She's very concerned about wearing perfume each day, so that might be the "smells good" option.  She didn't forget anything - not even another treatment at her spa!
