In the aftermath of the recent birthday (more on that soon, I promise!), T&V were having loads of fun with the balloons. Personally, I think balloons are a major hazard and while my children have been little, I always feel like getting rid of them quickly. But the kids love them! In fact, once, a beloved auntie sent a perfect present with, quite simply, balloons and a blow up pump plus an adorable stuffie (translate: stuffed animal). It was a hit, of course. And somehow this birthday seemed to tweek my balloon battle - I had to include balloons in the decor and I have kept those things around (can you believe they're still blown up and looking party day perfect more than a week later?) simply because they're just gorgeous and bring joy! Even looking at them scattered around our living room makes me happy rather than just wanting to deflate them and throw them away. They're like gems bursting with happiness.
